This was too uncanny to pass up. Apparently there’s is a man in Indonesia who some believe is turning into a tree! They call him Tree Man, and to be honest you will have to see the pictures to believe it!
Before I go any longer, please take a look at the video. Remember, a picture is worth a million words in this case.
The 37-year-old man, Dede Koswara, has what doctors say is a common disease with uncommon results. It started about 20 years ago as a simple wart on his knee that got way out of control. He now has warts and giant warts all over his body, mutating his hands, arms and legs into some gigantic bark-like material.
How did he get like this you may wonder? Well, doctors are attributing it to human papillomavirus, or HPV. It’s a common virus that an estimated 20 million Americans live with. The virus causes warts to get into your body or skin. It grows above the skin or into the skin. For some, particularly females, those warts cause cervical cancer, but for poor Dede, those warts are turning him into a tree.
The good news is, hopeful salvation is around the corner. Dede has been undergoing a number of extreme surgery at a hospital after some caught notice of him and his condition from Indonesia side-show. The surgeries were to remove pounds of dead skin tissue hardened by a number years. And by the end of this month he is expected to return back to his home village to his family and friends.
Not for nothin’, but this story is giving me the creeps. No offense to the poor guy, but let’s be honest, it’s a horrible condition that makes him look horrible. I don’t know whether or not to put a picture up because I don’t know if I could stand looking at it every day. Many may have seen the story on ABC news or TLC, but I really can’t stand to look at it more than I have to. So please, do me a favor, and look at the video link.
